Golfing Results - On the Course/In the Program FILE: FR.HLP
DBK requires 4 data items per hole. If you are any kind of a
golfer, you are already keeping track of two of these. The fist
two are gross and the number of putts. The second two are fairways
and greens hit.
Because most scorecards have room for 4 players to record their
scores, it works out well if you use one scorecard for each player.
That way, each card contains all of the necessary data.
In addition to this hole data, you will need the date played, along
with the tees used.
After each round is completed, the card can quickly be entered into
the DBK database. An 18 hole round takes less than a minute to
enter. If you do not use your computer everyday, then collect a
week or months worth before taking care of the data entry chore.
The only drawback with this method is that you are more prone to
misplace the cards in the interim. Also, you lose the benefit of
intermediate summaries to help you keep on track.
Remember that results from a round cannot be entered before the
couse data has been recorded in the course database. For a few
words on that, see the help screen under Features titled Courses.
